Enticing aromas of new leather, sunbaked earth, truffle, mint, forest berries and gamy hints of cured meat are some of the aromas you’ll find in this structured red. The bright palate offers sour red cherry, crushed raspberry, star anise, pipe tobacco and baking spice flavors on the long, dry finish. It is well balanced with firm tannins that provide support, but may need a few more years to unwind.
Pietra Rossa is the name of a vineyard in the east side of Montepulciano hill, at 400 meters altitude. The soil as a light red color, because is rich of red clay (iron ore), perfect for Sangiovese grapes. The extension is 2 hectares, that give an average of 9.000/10.000 thousands bottles per year.
