The Contucci family is one of Italy’s oldest, with roots dating back to the 11th century. Long before the Renaissance, they began cultivating vines—and today continue to champion Montepulciano’s winemaking legacy worldwide. The estate spans 170 hectares, with 22 dedicated to native varietals, grown using the Spurred Cordon method at high density. Every step, from organic-minded farming to selective hand harvesting, is done with care and respect for the land. In their historic 13th century cellars, wines are aged in French and Slovenian oak barrels (800–2,500 liters), producing about 100,000 bottles annually—each a testament to centuries of tradition and excellence.

Alluring aromas of pressed violets, ripe blackberry, new leather, mushrooms and forest underbrush. Structured and delicious, the complex flavors of cherry, raspberry compote, licorice and black tea supported by firm tannins and fresh acidity keeps it balanced on the lingering finish. Grapes: Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile) 80%, Canaiolo Nero 10%, Colorino 10%. Aged 30 months.
