Cascina Adelaide began in 1817 as a group of vine growers owning vineyards in two of the most prestigious crus, Cannubi and Preda. The estate was bought over 20 yrs ago by Amabile Drocco who immediately updated the estate by building a modern underground cellar, introducing a new barrel system and more than doubling the size of the vineyards. Drocco’s father was a vine grower in a small village not far from Barolo.
Dark, red ruby color unmistakable character of Fossati's Barolo. In the glass, great richness in black ripened fruit as plums and mulberry, then balsamic and spice eruption drawing together with the tannic layers to create a wonderful wine. It will delight you for decades.
