Cascina Adelaide began in 1817 as a group of vine growers owning vineyards in two of the most prestigious crus, Cannubi and Preda. The estate was bought over 20 yrs ago by Amabile Drocco who immediately updated the estate by building a modern underground cellar, introducing a new barrel system and more than doubling the size of the vineyards. Drocco’s father was a vine grower in a small village not far from Barolo.
Delicate violet and plums aromas and flavors that meld with a minerality and deep spice note so unique to Cannubi Barolos. Balanced and powerful, yet elegant at the same time, this is a memorable Barolo for those that relish the distinct flavors of Cannubi. It will age for years and just become more soft and silky smooth as the tannins and acidity come together.
Brilliant in the glass with minerality and spicy characteristics coming out like a flame thanks to the inner energy of this unbelievable cru.
