The Contucci family is one of Italy’s oldest, with roots dating back to the 11th century. Long before the Renaissance, they began cultivating vines—and today continue to champion Montepulciano’s winemaking legacy worldwide. The estate spans 170 hectares, with 22 dedicated to native varietals, grown using the Spurred Cordon method at high density. Every step—from organic-minded farming to selective hand harvesting—is done with care and respect for the land. In their historic 13th-century cellars, wines are aged in French and Slovenian oak barrels (800–2,500 liters), producing about 100,000 bottles annually—each a testament to centuries of tradition and excellence.
Enticing aromas of forest floor, rose, new leather and crushed botanical herb shape the nose on this classically crafted red. Racy and linear, the vibrant palate features juicy red cherry, cranberry, star anise and white pepper framed in firm tannins. It pairs very well with food.

Varietal: 80% Prugnolo gentile, 10% Canaiolo Nero, 10% Colorino.

Winemaking: 24 months in wood.
