Originally from Alsace, the Bonfils family relocated due to the war of 1870. Today, they cultivate 40 hectares at Château La Rose Belair, located in Mouliets-et-Villemartin near Saint-Émilion, in the Gironde. The vineyard benefits from an ideal south-facing exposure and exceptional geological diversity, with soils that include limestone, clay, marl, gravel, and flint. Merlot dominates the plantings, covering nearly two-thirds of the estate, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This unique site and thoughtful varietal mix contribute to the depth, balance, and elegance of the wines produced here.
This Bordeaux Supérieur shows a brilliant color of deep ruby red. Intensely fruity on the nose, it reveals delicious aromas of ripe red and black raspberries and currants with a touch of spice. The seductive palate is smooth, elegant and well balanced, with pleasing fruit notes and a long, dry finish.
A good pairing for a wide range of dishes, the freshness and the fruit of this wine will enhance your enjoyment of cold meats, leg of lamb, duck breast or cheese.
